A few years ago, I realised fear was quietly steering my life. I was quick to say yes to everyone else, but my own dreams? They were tucked away for ‘someday.’ That ‘someday’ never seemed to come—until I set myself a challenge to say yes 1000 times.
I started with one simple yes, then another, and another. Many of these yeses felt small, almost insignificant, yet over weeks and months, this intentional practice of saying yes to what I desired began to change me.
For so long, I had either tried to control my fear or push it aside, but something new was emerging—a new way of understanding and responding to my fear. For the first time, I felt my fear and chose to say yes.
The familiar voice that once whispered, ‘Are you sure?’, grew quieter, replaced by a growing sense of excitement, confidence and capacity. I became alive to what I desired. Alive to what I was capable of. And alive to the wholeness of who I was created to be.
All because of one little word - Yes.
Now, as a personal development coach, I support women to say yes to who they are and to the lives they’ve been longing for.
